As a sophomore, McDade was a starter on Bradley’s 1956-57 team that went on to capture the program’s first postseason championship at the NIT in Madison Square Garden. McDade also led the Braves with 8.8 rebounds per game as a senior. A business administration major at Bradley, McDade has remained a well-known figure in Peoria, where he currently serves as a federal judge in the Central Illinois District.
